CLEF 2026 — 2nd Workshop on Cloud, Edge, and Fog Computing for Smart Industries
Co-located with IEEE ANTS 2026 · IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India
Workshop at a Glance
About the Workshop
Closing the Gap in Cloud, Edge & Fog for Industry
Despite significant advances in cloud, edge, and fog computing for smart industries, several challenges related to data management, analytics, communication, security, scalability, and interoperability remain inadequately addressed. CLEF 2026 brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to develop novel frameworks, algorithms, protocols, and architectures for next-generation smart industries.
Edge and fog computing enable real-time analysis of time-critical industrial data and autonomous decision-making, while cloud computing efficiently handles non-time-critical storage and processing. The integration of AI/ML further enhances data analytics and operational intelligence — but device heterogeneity, data privacy, and security remain open problems this workshop aims to address.
Industrial IoT & Industry 4.0/5.0
Smart manufacturing, factory automation, cyber-physical systems
Cloud / Edge / Fog Architectures
Resource orchestration, task offloading, energy-efficient protocols
Security, Privacy & Trust
Blockchain-enabled automation, trust management for Industrial IoT
AI/ML-Driven Automation
Federated learning, digital twins, privacy-preserving intelligence
